First of all let me explain something to you, I live a fairly comfortable life, I am a family man and I have a nice stable job in an excellent company and I am happy. We live in a lovely little township in Alberta, Canada and we have great neighbours and friends. The problem is that all my life I have tried to improve my life and the lives of my friends, neighbours and family, I am always looking for opportunities to increase my financial position. Also, none of us are getting any younger and we have to think about our retirement. This maybe a few years or a few decades away but eventually we all (if we live that long) have to face the fact that one day we will no longer be working and no longer have our comfortable incomes.
So, as i have said in earlier posts i have tried a few projects, some i did quite well in (Amway for example) and some i got really excited in, read countless books, took countless courses and eventually made a small amount of money. However, here i am, still getting up every morning, still driving to work everyday.... and YES I still have finance on one of my vehicles.
I see other people driving fantastic brand new vehicles towing huge trailers (camping is a passion of mine) or i drive passed a lake and i see families out on the water in fantastic watercraft, jet skis, powerboats, yachts. I see the older folks out there on the campsites that we use, and they have retired with enough money to live comfortably and do the things they want to do without worrying about the money running out. And i am sorry folks but i am thinking "I want some of that".
Okay that is a big dream and it may never happen, but here is a thought for you:
If you have a DREAM , then how could you ever hope to achieve it without at least heading in that direction.
Well, a few weeks ago, i decided that I was going to try and earn a hundred or so bucks per month that i could use to upgrade one of our family vehicles. A hundred bucks would make up a nice part of the monthly payments. So I got involved with completing Online Surveys, this was actually great fun and sometimes the companies will even send you out samples for you to assess and keep. I still do this now although we haven't swapped the car yet, i do a few in the evenings and the companies either pay by check or the cash goes straight into the Pay Pal account.
While i was starting up in the surveys i stumbled upon Mystery Shopping, i looked into it and signed up with some websites. This pays a lot more than doing the surveys but there is so much more involved. If a company is paying you to go into restaurant and paying for your meal too, they sure do have high expectations for what they get back in return. When i do a shop or eat in a restaurant I have to send in my report when i get home and sometimes they have to be in the same night, a report can take anything from 30 to 90 minutes and they do expect a quality report.
Now the secret with both surveys and mystery shops is to sign up with multiple companies, check them out over a few weeks then cut away the dead wood and concentrate on the good ones. With the surveys for example, i was signed up with 25 companies at one point but half of them never gave me any work and some of them were very slow to build up credits. Those are the companies that are now in my recycle bin. It is the same with the Mystery shops, i am with 3 good companies now and they give me enough work to keep me busy. Oh, by the way I sorted that little issue out with a certain restaurant and will be in there over the next few evenings. I would love to tell you how i solved this but that little gem is going to be my little trade secret for now LOL.
I was while I was researching the mystery shopping I came across a website that completely changed everything I was doing. Even though i was very skeptical about the whole thing the start up and running costs were pocket change so I thought "Why not". This website can be found on the left side of this page just under the top banner, it says START HERE ! or you could click on the link that i have just placed.
You will see that i have done a little adapting to the site, obviously there is way too much information to give you on a splash page so it is designed to give you a FREE eBook which gives you a place to start. It is really clever the way it has been designed because to can take a real good look at this and even try some of the stuff out.... All for free.
Please remember though that we are talking about the tip of the iceberg here, Internet Marketing is a huge multi-billion dollar industry, practically every commodity or service on the planet has been touched by this industry. What i find really exciting is that you can market your own products or there are millions of products and services out there on the 'net that you can market for commission.
On top of all that, the Internet is only 15 years old, it is in its infancy so all of this is relatively new. Imagine building a business of your own, maybe one day even becoming your primary income.
