Yesterday was my real first day back at the helm of the business. It was ticking over just nicely while I was away in UK but now I'm back it is time to notch things up a gear, so to speak. I have been looking at the two Welcome Pages at BUILD AN INCOME and SNOWBIRD PHOTOGRAPHY and I was not happy with either of them at all. The problem was that they both looked too "Salesy". Yes, I know that is not really a word (I just invented it) but it describes the pages perfectly. When you clicked on them the sales pitch was too much "In your face" which meant they were too aggressive which is not my style and not the message I wanted to send out.
Well I sat down and re-thought out exactly what message I wanted to give and what I wanted to achieve with the pages. The result was the new improved pages, I like to think they are friendly and inviting, introducing the products in a nice way, but more importantly than that, they actually attract people into the sites and draw them into interaction with me and also each other. I am hoping to create small hubs of discussion and interest.
It is amazing how your mindset changes once you get involved in this business. When I first started up and got more interested in Internet Marketing I was looking for a way to make extra money to supplement my day job, I had no idea how I was going to achieve this or even what I was going to Market. As time went on and I gained more knowledge and the dollars started coming in the money seemed less important.
The priority for me now is creating these small areas of information and creating communities of like minded people. I really enjoy helping and steering people so they can do what I have done and achieve what I have achieved. I know this might sound a little shallow but when I get messages from people who have questions or problems with my sites/products/advice but i get a real "Kick" out of solving their problems, especially when they are on one of my sites and the question is asked publicly and everyone can see me solving it. Sorry if that sounds a little selfish but it is my little reward for all of the hours I have put in to breathing life into the SNOWBIRD MARKETING ENTERPRISES.
Anyway, now the Facebook pages are in place please go and take a look and I would love to know what you think. If you LIKE the sites then please hit the LIKE button...... and if you do have a spare few minutes please leave some comments on the WALL.
So now it is on to other projects, I have access to another eBook which I am planning to give away for FREE but I do not have any of this in place just yet. I am thinking it will take me about 3 or 4 days to get this in place so please keep checking back in for more updates.
