Anyway time for a business update.
Things are going very well so far although it is a little un-nerving when you complete a particular marketing task and the result is a little more intense than you were expecting. I was surprised at the actual numbers of people out there who think like me.
When I first started this Internet Marketing I felt very much alone. I know i keep mentioning the first ever post I made on this Blog, but it felt as though i was the only person who had this dream of creating my own income and being my own Boss. If you look back at the post i mentioned something about "Will I FLY or will I FALL?"
Well, I think think I have come a long way in a short space of time, for a start I never realised that so much effort and perseverance would be needed. When I created my first Website I really did expect the readers to come flooding in and when i looked at the Stats the next morning and saw that the only person who had looked at the site was me, i don't mind admitting i was disappointed. Now, looking back, it all makes sense, how can you expect to create a site and over night accumulate a reader base.
Another thing that really concerned me was the fact that I had nothing to sell.... I could understand how the principles worked and how to create the sites but what good was it without a product. Later on as my knowledge base grew I realised some of the answers and discovered that there were in fact tens of thousands of products that could be either given away or sold.
I still have to smile when I look back at first being told that I was going to be using Face Book as part of my Marketing toolbox. And guess what, I now know more about Face book, Twitter and Linked In than I ever knew there was to know about them. There are in fact thousands of Marketers out there all using Face book to make money, and right under all of our noses.
A lot of questions have also been answered for me since I got into this business, like, why do people take the trouble to write articles in Blogs, E-Zines, Wiki's and sites like that. There does not seem to be any reward for doing all that work, free information for all to see. But if you look behind the scenes and look at Social Media from a business perspective then you see exactly why they do it.
Anyway folks, it has been a very busy weekend this weekend and I have spent most of it sat at this keyboard. Was it a wasted weekend? No, I don't think it was, all of the stuff i managed to get done this weekend only ever has to get done once, and like I said it is done. My business has actually started creating it's own momentum which makes me very excited for my families future but also scares the hell out of me (but in a good way) I have a feeling that my life changed 3 months ago and there is no going back.
I am going to leave you all with this thought:
If you intend to reach for the Stars......... don't ever look down !
