Congratulations on your perseverence, well that shows you are serious about building a business online. I hope you like the comercial breaks that I throw in between the posts. I am also going to throw some completely "Off-topic" posts in soon on some of the things that really interest me, I am hoping that you will find them interesting too but if not..... thats the good thing about a Blog..... you can just skip passed them and stay with the marketing posts.
Anyway, this post is all about what you should do before laying down those strong foundations that will be the pillars that support your business for years to come. So, what do you think comes before laying the foundations?
All of you that said GROUNDWORK, congratulations... take a pat on the back and go to the kitchen and get a biscuit.
So... what is the ground work? well it is making sure that all the basics are in place. You may laugh when I tell you this but i can guarantee you will not be laughing if you lose some of your work because of bad preparation.
Next you get your stationary together, you need a couple of pens or pencils, a good notebook, a ruler and I always find highlighter pens very useful too. You are going to be taking lots of notes during your learning curve and probably drawing lots of diagrams, i know I did and it made life so much easier later on.
You then make sure your computer is working correctly, virus free and you have a reliable internet connection. the other thing I strongly recommend is back up. I went out and bought a 32 gig memory stick purely for backing up all my images and files every night. I use the 32 gig because I got it very cheap at Argos last time i was in United Kingdom, I would say 4 gig or 8 gig would be sufficient really. i have already lost most of my data due to a computer crash and i was only able to recover about 50% of it back and believe me when i say that really hurt. I have spend many hours redoing it and i still have not replaced everything.
You need a way of listening to audio and video files so headphones or speakers are a must. Personally I use a set of headphones so it blanks out all other sound and I can get totally absorbed in the lessons.
The final thing you need to do (and this is the hardest part) is be prepared to listen and learn. I always thought i was a good student but this is something i found hard to do. I would get some information and i would just like to go out and utilise it. I hate to admit it but i actually did this a few times and completely lost my place in the course, i ended up going back 2 or 3 videos just to catch the thread again
Once you have done all this you are ready to learn how to internet market correctly. In the very near future you are going to be thrilled at the new skills you are going to learn...... before long you will be building your very own financial future.
