Camping at Beaver Mines Lake

Hi folks

As you all know, this weekend was Labor Day Weekend and our neighbours suggested that we joined them over at Beaver Mines Lake.  This is a 2 hour drive from where we live so it was just far enough away to "Get away from it all" but also not too far so we could hitch up and head out straight after work.

We finally got there just as it was dropping dark which was a little daunting.  The Provincial Park where we were setting up camp was deep in a forested area and set around one side of quite a large lake.  When we got in there we worked our way around the campsite loops looking for a site.  We managed to find one further up the mountain which suited us great because the views were absolutely fabulous (as we discovered next morning.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, we have been chilling out for the last 3 days where there was no cell phone or any internet connection.  We had three fantastic days of  exploring the mountains, meeting with friends, eating some great food and enjoying a few beers round the campfire in the evening.

Unfortunately it was over all too soon and it was time to come back to the real world and of course....... back to work.
