Virtual Malls - Expanding into Global Markets

A Virtual Mall is an Internet site that looks and functions like a shopping mall or department store. It is an online “one stop” destination to buy a variety of goods and services. Instead of walking in stores as you would in a physical setting, you simply click on the store that you wish to enter and a Web page appears featuring the store’s merchandise. When you are ready to leave the store, return to the home page and click on another store and continue shopping. 

Since the virtual mall concept is relatively new, many different mall types are being tested. Some sites have shared shopping carts and offer one simple check out. 






The virtual mall has many advantages to the shopper: 

• Reduces travel time for shoppers 
• Reduces shopping time for shoppers 
• Allows shoppers to shop 24/7 
• Online search tools help locate items quickly 
• Consumers may be able to buy at lower prices 

The virtual mall has advantages to the entrepreneur and community:

• Expands customer base of brick and mortar businesses 
• Advertises products and services at low cost 
• May create a “one stop” shop to advertise community assets 
• Provides new entrepreneurs with a target market for new products and services 
• Builds an online awareness of your community’s entrepreneurial business activities 
• Could encourage other potential entrepreneurs to enter the market 
• How does one or a community create a virtual mall? 

First you must decide what type of mall you need. Ask yourself, am I promoting:

• Products and services 
• Community and culture 
• Arts and crafts 
• Quality of life 

And Secondly you have to figure out how you are going to build this thing.

I am at this exact junction as I am writing this article.  At the moment, as I am sure you are all aware,  I do run a virtual Mall (of sorts) within my blog sites.  However, my next plan of action is to leave these "Blog- Malls" running but to concentrate on a website based Mall which I am thinking will be the new hub of the greatly expanding Snowbird Marketing Enterprise.

Basically if you have been copying what I have been doing for the last seven months you will now be seeing some income being generated.  I now have twelve sources of income all feeding my bank account either through PayPal, checks coming through the post or by direct deposit. I do not receive payment from EVERY one of those sources EVERY month but I do get payments from some of them and that is growing EVERY month.

I have been thinking about writing an eBook, basically a step-by-step guide or instruction manual of everything that I have done up to now.  Well stuff that has worked anyway LOL.....

All the reader would have to do is pick up the book and follow the instructions to get to where I am now.  The trouble is that all the information is within this Blog any way except that it is jumbled in with all my other thoughts and stuff that amuses me...... and of course the stuff that I have tried that didn't quite work out as well as I thought it would.

The other thing I would do with this book would be to make it re-brandable so you would be able to resell or even give the book away as an incentive just like the eBook "Create Your First Website By 3:45 This Afternoon"
