Being an ex-soldier, I have played my fair share of cards although I have to admit it was either Partner Whist, Hearts, Black Jack or some form of "5's&7's" or a variation on 21's. There was another game we used to play called "Chase The Lady" although it was affectionately known to us by another name which I would rather not use on the Blog LOL.
So the new niche is Poker....... eventually I intend to cover a number of games but for the moment we are going to concentrate on just one... "Texas Hold 'Em". The reason we are choosing this game is because it is the most popular tournament game and it is the one that is most sought after.
As you know, I have already started to brush up on the game, it would be a little crazy to start promoting something that I didn't even know how to play. Also I do really enjoy playing cards although I have not played seriously for a couple of years now. I bought the Playing Poker For Dummies and found that a great learning tool, to add a bit of spice to the game I have just acquired another game called Poker Superstars 3 which takes the game to a new level of realism (see the image above).

Incidentally I am still researching casinos and I have actually downloaded some more. There is one that I have just downloaded which I am particularly happy with and I would recommend you take a look at. I was only playing for fun (pretend money) but I started off with $1000 and within 2 hours of playing Bonus Texas Hold Em I was up to $2500...... wow... imagine if that was real money. I don't know whether it was luck but when ever i had lost 2 hands in a row i would drastically increase the stake and make a killing on the next hand, once I had won the pot I would drop the stake down again till I lost twice in a row again. Please do not take this as any kind of gambling advice and remember it was for "Fun Money" but it actually happened last night.
Anyway the Link to the Casino is here if you want to take a look. Just download the FREE games software and help yourself to some FREE casino games. You will be asked to open a free account but don't be put off by that because you do not have to put money into it unless you want to have a dabble with some real cash.
